Kingston NOW V 300 240GB Benchmark – The results

Standard

After our test of the 120GB version of the Kingston V 300, Kingston gave us the possibility to test the 240 GB version of the same SSD. Lets see what it got.

Introduction

The 120GB version of the V 300 was a lower mid-range SSD in our test (find it here). The 120GB and 240GB Kingston V 300 is generally not a high-performance SSD. Who need a high-performance SSD have to look after the Kingston Hyper X – models. Everybody who don’t whan’t to edit videos or pictures, will not notice the difference between the more expensive models and the V 300. For this people the Kingston V300 series can still be interesting. If the V300 with 240 GB is better than the V 300 with 120GB or other SSD’s can be seen in our test below.

The details of the Kingston Now V 300

Our testimonial from Kingston was a SSD Upgrade Kit. The delivery content was:

This kit is therefore suitable for laptops and stand-alone computers. The SSD is also available in a notebook upgrade kit.

According to the manufacturer and packaging to the Kingston, the SSD can provide a read and write speed of 450 MB. If  this is true we will clarify it in the SSD test below.

The Conclusion

As by other manufacturers so here, the V 300 240 GB of Kingston is faster than the 120GB version. On our total score can be seen that the difference is large. Namely about 200 points.

But also here the average user will not see probably difference. We recommened the grater Kingston V300 model with 240GB, as this one.
