Standard

In this test, we will have a look at the performance of the Corsair Force 3 SSD with 120 GB.

Introduction

The Corsair Force 3 120 GB according to the manufacturer advertisehave got a read and write speed of up to 550 MBps and 510 MBps . If this is true, you will see in this our test.

The Force Series 3 is currently not the flagship of Corsair. Actual it is the Force Series 3 GT from Corsair, which we have also tested. The Corsair Force 3 120 GB comes in a 2.5 inch form factor and has a SATAIII-controller. But this controller is backward compatible and can also be connected to older SATA-controllers. Of course you will than not get the full potential speed of the SSD.

For those who are working in extreme environments as well should grab the Corsair, because it can be used at temperatures from 0 to +70 degrees Celsius.

The Conclusion

The Corsair Force 3 120 GB is a fast SSD and will speed up many PCs, with its really good reading and writing speed, but it disappointed us a little bit, because the values the manufacturer has shown us can not be reached. The Corsair comes with a 3.5″ mounting frame for tower case.
